Produce your own power in a solar park

We want to enable everyone to generate their own solar energy. To make this possible, we offer our customers* Paneelopnaam. With Paneelopnaam, you generate your own solar energy in a solar park in the Netherlands.
You can choose Paneelopnaam with a one-time payment:

- €55 for 5 years
- €90 for 10 years

With Paneelopnaam, you generate your own electricity. You decide how much energy you want to generate. The yield is settled on your annual statement.

*You need an energy contract with Zonopnaam Energie to generate your own energy with Paneelopnaam.

 

This depends on your point of view. Financially spoken, most of the time the answer would be yes. That is exactly why we always support placing solar panels on your own roof, if that is an option.

Besides, many customers appreciate the flexibility of Panelenopnaam, which could by practical when you would be planning to move, for instance. After all, your Panelenopnaam can easily “move” with you to your new address.

All in all, Zonopnaam provides a green energy solution for households without a (private) roof suited for solar panels. Don’t forget that many families who live in an apartment do not even have own roofspace. We enable such households to enjoy the benefits solar energy offers. No (sunny) roof? No problem!

Switch to Zonopnaam Energie and simply inform us while subscribing about the amount of Panelenopnaam you want to buy. You can select the solar park of your choice. We will arrange everything from there on.

If you are an existing Zonopnaam Energie customer and you want to start producing your own power, you can easily arrange this via the Zonopnaam app. Adding Panelenopnaam to your current total is a possibility as well.

We are constantly looking for suitable spots to build new solar parks. Suitable means we see chances to add value to sites by realizing solar parks without creating externalities for local stakeholders. In practice we combine functions when possible. This aim for multiple use of space means our solar parks can be found at locations such as closed landfills, highway sound barriers and vacant lots. We value local participation throughout the entire development process and share the profits of every solar park with our customers. They can buy solar panels and by doing so substantially reduce their energy bill.

We guarantee all power supplied by Zonopnaam is green and produced in the Netherlands. We can prove this by the corresponding Guarantees of Origin (in Dutch: “Garanties Van Oorsprong”, or “GVO”). Such a Guarantee of Origin is an energy certificate defined in article 15 of the European Directive 2009/28/EC. Guarantees of Origin are the only precisely defined instruments evidencing the origin of electricity generated from renewable energy sources. All in all Zonopnaam customers can be sure every kWh they use has been sustainably produced.

From our so-called Energy Label you can conclude as well we provide 100% Dutch solar power. This Energy Label provides insight into the origin of the electricity that Zonopnaam supplies.
